Description: The Torx head is designed to prevent the screwdriver tip from protruding and deviating. The "pan head screw" is likely an improved version of the "round head screw." As screw head sizes decrease, the rounded edge of the round head becomes less conducive to carving the groove depth in the screw head. Shallow grooves easily lead to stripping.
